ABOUT
John Earnshaw is a multifaceted creative, known for his expertise in visual storytelling through image and object. With a background in photography, fashion and digital media, he has worked across advertising, editorial and product design.
John has a fine art photography practice of over 15 years with a focus on portraiture. Working in analogue 35mm film, to create an archive of photographs that are part autobiographical documentary realism and part fiction, with people, connection and ultimately love at the core.
ART DIRECTOR
As an established art director, John transforms ideas into impactful visual narratives, collaborating with brands and photographers to bring concepts to life. He has an innate ability to transform a brands visual identity through creating contemporary captivating imagery.
STYLIST
His styling work is defined by his creative eye and an ability to develop looks that reflect the zeitgeist, underpinned by research and understanding of the past. As a stylist, John brings a unique sensibility for curating clothing, accessories and props that elevate every project he touches.
CASTING
In casting, John embraces diverse talent that are representative of the world that we live in. Whether casting models for runway shows, editorial shoots or advertising campaigns, his eye for selecting cool, interesting talent ensures each project tells a powerful and authentic story.
John has exhibited work internationally and is a founder of the Portrait Youth project, which empowers young people to articulate their identity through fashion and portrait photography.
